Top Ten Signs You Play Too Much ADnD
1.Someone says "Why do you have all those numbers tattooed on your hand?", and you reply "Those aren't tattoos, they're die imprints."
2.Your elven fighter has had sex within the last six years - and you haven't.
3.You decide to play a zombie, just so you and your character can have the same skin color.
4.You've been surviving so long on Doritos, Coke, and pizza that your body now contains more plastic than your dice.
5.You can recite, verbatim, every single rule from the DMG….but you can't remember how many kids you have.
6.You sign personal correspondences with your character's name.
7.After months of work, you have made up the entire dwarven language - words, rules of vocabulary, the whole lot. You are bilingual, and can now speak fluid dwarven. Your friends stare at you strangely, and no one will sit on the same side of the table as you.
8.Drug addict and alcoholic friends of yours often stop you to say "Dude, get a grip".
9.Your "If I won the lottery" plans involve creating: (a) a really cool AD&D room, or (b) hiring actors to play monsters so that you and your friends can play AD&D for real.
10.You'd rather get a natural 18 when rolling character statistics than win the lottery

Another ten signs:
10. You spend more time planning your character's life than your own 9. Vampires tell you to get a tan 8. Your closest friends don't know your real name 7. Your character gets junk mail (Oooh, Thorin Ironfist got a MasterCard!) 6. You think every food group is a different kind of sugar. 5. You found every error in "Dark Dungeons" 4. ... and after reading it, demanded to know why you hadn't been taught "the real power" yet 3. After a session, you relax by playing a computer D&D game 2. ... continuously until the next session 1. You spend the rest of your free time making lists like this one!

If you don't find it by next session, let me know and I'll loan you mine. It's not doing me a lot of good gathering dust.

OK. I recently also got the updated version of The Bards Tale. Funny thing is I only got it because it also came with the Original 3 Bards Tale games. Naturally I've ended up playing the original ones more than the new one. Now if we could just get them to re-release Pool of Radiance, Hillsfar etc. etc., now they were classic and dont even mind playing them in DOS mode.

I actually have them all on my old computer, but I can't get at them right now. But... I know this is like giving a pyromaniac a flamethrower in a fireworks factory, but if you've got a good virus checker and pop-up blocker, a good reputable place to find those games is www.the-underdogs.org/genre.php?offset=0&id=7&sort=nameIf nothing else, you can download and play Nethack, I did Well, now that we won't be seeing Dragonsrule for the next five years...

The Original ? Not the one that was released about 2 years ago, that was Pool of Radience:Ruins of Myth Dranor or something like that. I have that one but just not as good for game play . Give me the cheesy graphics of old.

Sigh, yes it has them but I forgot the one major part, they all came with a Rune wheel you had to match up and get the code word to start. Oh Well. Boy how things have changed also, not 1 download of those games were over 1MB in size

Ah, the code wheels. Well, you can probably find something on the web to take care of that, anyway. The fun thing about those old D&D games, I think, was that you could carry your characters over from one game to the next, if you did them in order. I forget if I ever did beat the original Pools. I'm still afraid to uninstall the new Pools of Radiance- they say they fixed the "uninstall the game and it takes your hard drive with it" bug, but I'm not really willing to risk it Most important things to get with new Pools: Bux fixes.

*sigh* Well, I missed out on the old "Pool of Radience" games but I do Have Temple of elemental evil, Dungeon seige, Neverwiinter nights, and the Icewindale seiries.....and I spend more time planning other peoples characters lives than my oun life. Does that mean I have played too much AD&D?

Oh, try Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, as well, it uses the d20 system. And if you want the old Pools games, take the link from my previous post, although I dunno how to bypass any "input page 73 of the manual" protection they may have.

Oooh, Knights of the Old Republic.... I played the hell out of that one on my daughter's X-Box. I must have played it every conceivable way. Morrowind was a good one too. It's neat because it's not so damned linear to play.

Knights of the Old Republic has some added content on the computer, a space station in the Yavin system where you can buy some really good stuff. Plus it's $20 these days, which is how I got it Of course, now I have to wait for the price to drop on KOTOR II... Fable should be on the computer pretty soon, and Bard's Tale as well. Of course, Baldur's Gate II is in a nice box set for $20 as well if anyone missed that. And if you like D&D and HAVEN'T played BG II, I think there's a goon squad that takes care of people like you The first wasn't nearly as fun to play as the second, because in the first raising dead wasn't really a viable option, so there was more game loading. Second with the expansion gets up to legendary characters, not to mention the Slayer form ;D

You have got to get KOTOR II. Its miles better than the original with great characters. Ive played it through twice so far playing light side characters and now im working my way up the dark side of the force.......Mhooaa force lightnening is forcetastic.
