I'm not so sure about this one, since I can't find it on the internet. Someone I work with was talking about a lightbulb that will never burn out. It sounds possible, but a little unlikely. I was wondering if anyone here heard anything of the sort.

They might have meant LED's. The little guys are getting more and more prevalent and last an extremely long time. You could conceivably get a LED light bulb which lasts longer than you do.
A lot of low vision equipment uses LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology because it's likely to outlive the patient, who won't need to try to change a little light bulb with their reduced acuity.
