I made a topic like this in another forum I go to, so here are a few C&Ps.
1: Caramel Apple 2.0
Take an apple and cut it in half, then cut out the core in a cylinder shape, lengthwise to the stem. For 2 people, simply drizzle caramel syrup into the cylinder, for 4, cut it into fourths and drizzle syrup on the flat area. To preserve, sprinkle with lemon juice.
2. Inverted choco-strawberry
No need to melt/burn chocolate for this one. Simply cut out a cone shape from the top of a strawberry and insert a Hershey's kiss. Bon appetit!
3. Berry Bonanza
First, take about 20 blueberries, preferrably soft, and mash them into a sauce. Place this in a bowl and set aside. Then take as many strawberries as desired out, dipping them in the sauce. As a final touch, take a raspberry and place it into a crevace made on top of the strawberry. Sauce should be enough for about 5 strawberries.
Lemon-lime Shirley Temple:
Gather 1 pomegranate(At your local supermarket), 1 pint of sprite, one lemon, and one lime
Peel open the pomegranate and extract the seeds, placing them in a bag. Roll and squish them until there's a good amount of liquid at the bottom of the bag. Then place the juice through a strainer/coffee filter to get rid of the seeds themselves and the juice's coat. Take out a tall glass and pour in 1/2 of the sprite. Then dump in the pomegranate juice. Mix together and set aside. Now take your lemon and lime and squeeze them into a bowl (add a teaspoon of sugar so it isn't too bitter). Mix slightly and pour into the Shirley Temple. Voila!
IMPORTANT: Do not wear a white shirt while making this drink. Pomegranate juice stains badly.
A few appetizer recipes:
Scallops in a pig
Cook some scallops and some bacon (Don't cook the bacon too long, it needs to stay bendable). Cut the bacon in half and wrap the halves around the scallops. To keep it together, stick a toothpick through it. Bon appetit!
Cheese Fries
You've eaten them at Outback, now make your own.
Take some french fries (I recommend Ore Ida's), cook them according to their instructions but ADD 5 MINUTES TO THE BAKING TIME. Season them heavily with any type of seasoning you prefer. Add some salt to this. Now for the cheese mix. You simply take Cheddar, Monterey Jack, and American cheese and melt them into a single bowl. Make sure there's plenty of cheese. After finishing this, drizzle the cheese all over the french fries. For the extra Outback touch, add chopped bacon on top (cooked, of course). (Serve immediately. It tastes horrible when reheated.)
Now desserts!
Extra-large Nonpareils
Take some type of chocolate-melting item, such as The Chocolate Factory, and melt about a half pint of chocolate.
(8 fl. oz.) Take out a saucer, such as one used for a coffee mug, and drizzle chocolate into it. Set it aside so the chocolate can harden. Before it begins to harden, drop some sprinkles onto the up-facing side. Once it hardens, you have a delicious nonpareil. (You have enough chocolate left to do about 3 more, depending on your saucer size.)(Note that by using varied saucer sizes, you can make a super-sized snowman during the holidays.)
Peanut Butter balls
My aunt always makes these. Now you can, too!
Simply take out a jar of peanut butter, use a watermelon baller to slice out small portions and place them onto a sheet of wax paper. Drizzle melted chocolate over each one. After doing so, set them aside and allow the chocolate to harden. When hardened, you may eat.
Peppermint smoothie:
You need: A blender, 2 candy canes, milk, and vanilla ice cream.
Very simple. Mix the milk and ice cream together, then crush the candy canes and sprinkle them in. After this, drop it in the blender and puree it. Ba-doom! (Two scoops of ice cream for mild mint flavor, one for strong. Serves 3)
