Hey Czar, these are really cool. I've always wanted to make some of my own but never got around to it.

I don't remember what it was that stopped me but I seem to recall something to do with getting the rings. I had found some places in Canada that sells them by the bulk or something.

I actually make my own rings. I found it's alot cheaper to buy the wire and wrap it around a dowel rod, then cut up one side with a pair of bolt cutters. I've made about 1/4 of a chain mail shirt with galv steel. Aluminum would be much easier to work with, but I wanted to get as close to the real thing as possible.
Some day I'll finish it, it's been sitting in my closet for a few years now unfinished.

Agreed. its definitely cheaper to coil and cut your own but only when galvy is involved. Only because it can be so hard to find any other metals. Once I found stainless steel but it was from some theater lighting store and was difficult to find again.

Hey thanks! I appreciate that. I had someone ask for a 100 dice capacity one recently. Was kinda hard for me to make since I don't own 100 dice.
