I watched this today and it wasn't bad but it could have been better. I liked remembering the characters from the many Dragonlance books. www.dragonlance-movie.com/

Since I have wiped the D&D movie and Highlander 2 from my memory banks I cannot comment except saying that it was marginally better.

Which D&D movie? I know of 3 so far. 2 real actor and 1 animated. I thought the 2 with real actors were ok. I was a bit disappointed with the story line, but it got a 2.5 of 5 stars for me, so wasn't totally worthless.
I just saw the animated one, Scourge of Worlds. This one was actually a chose your own adventure and I watched it 3 times with 3 different stories completely and 3 totally different endings.

Wow, finally saw this movie. I thought the actors could have been more colorful and better in their roles. I thought using classic animation for everything but the draconians and doing them CG was very stupid and out of place. Overall, I think the movie did a horrible job of trying to capture the book. I gave it 2 out of 5 stars. I'll most likely not be watching this one again. A real shame, I'm a huge fan of the books.

Just watched this with my son the other day, who of course thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. So from the view of a 9 year old boy who loves all things epic-fantasy, it gets:
5/5 stars
From my point of view, as somone who read the book long ago, it managed to keep the basic plot intact, just without the frills and without really good acting. I do give it kudos for using the classic animation, but I pan it for doing the CGI crap in the middle. That was, to put it simply, pants-on-head retarded. I award it:
2/5 stars
