Hey guys,
It was good seeing all of you again and it was a fun gaming experience. Good luck in next month's game. I wish I could be there.
Here are the notes that I took for this session.

One year has passed.
Raven’s father (Shard), the old ranger, becomes king of Sarago. Ruth begins to build her own forest on an island near the city.
Ryle, the necromancer, continues to build his necropolis. Bones, his former companion, has become more powerful.
Shiv takes residence in the city and is in the process of burning the dead outside of the city.
Starkadder hears the news of the heroics of the party he once traveled with. He also hears rumors and stories of their adventures. Avorax the great red dragon has left the world.
Bones orders Ryle to build a gate to the shadow plane.
Starkadder awakes from a deep sleep with a vision burning in his head. In the vision I see a great being 20 feet tall in black ash grey torn robes. Its face is hidden in the cowl. Great tattered wings are on its back. The creature descends from the heavens and where it touches the ground turns dark with death, killing all vegetation in the area. The foot of the angel touches down on the highest peak near Silverspur.
Ruth also has a similar vision to Starkadder.
Laraek has a vision with darkness coming from the sky.
Ryle and some skeletons gate to the shadow plane but ends up 500 miles from the destination.
Locksley stands at the left hand of the king. Two clerics enter the court and complain about the growing undead city outside Sarago. They demand something be done about the encroachment. The king assigns Laraek and Locksley to find the necromancer and investigate the necropolis issue.
Starkadder arrives in Sarago. He learns that Shiv and Locksley are lords.
Ryle arrives to the valley, where Silverspurr, is located in the shadow plane. He sees a massive movement of smaller units around the city. He hears a loud screech and the sound of steel against steel. Looking up he sees a large bat creature with an armoured creature on its back.
Nearing Silverspurr Ryle sees Chain devils and bearded devils using whips to stir the other undead. One of the devils tells Ryle that Gorguth wants his armies and is waiting for the gate to open.
Ryle is told to wait in line and eventually sees Gorguth which is a Bodak on a great bat-like creature.
One of the deamons rushes to the front and says, “My lord General all is in place to travel to the material plane.” Ryle hears what they have to say and returns to the material plane. He goes to visit Bones and demand what is going on. Bones tells Ryle that the gate must be opened. Bones orders Ryle to open the gate, to the shadow plane, and Bones commands the other undead to hold Ryle.
Ryle tries to command Bones but fails. Ryle jumps back to the shadow plane and is further from the city than before. He sees a tower and mountain range. He also sees a swamp of dark water.
Ryle finds the city of New Haven. He ports back to the material plane and finds a scantily clad woman with a white tiger. She asks the Ryle if he is a dark god because she knows he has traveled to the shadow plane. She introduces herself as a cleric Crysania.
Ryle goes to the tavern to relax and sends messages to Locksley.
Locksley send a scout to get Ruth, while Starkadder makes contact with Locksley.
Everybody arrives the next day and gets together in Sarago to address the problem with the necropolis.
Ryle contacts his goddess and she struggles to deliver her message which she repeats over and over…DEATH! DEATH!
The party prepares for the coming battle with the undead. Shiv and Laraek bring with them 150 soldiers. It takes five days to reach Silverspurr.
We go to investigate the carriage going for Silverspurr. We infiltrate the necropolis and overhear a conversation between two people.
Shiv, Ryle, Locksley, and Starkadder ambush the green hag and the lich. Locksley slays the hag with Prismatic Spray. The party attacks the lich eventually defeating it with clever tactics and brute force.
Treasure:
Signet ring attuned to the wagon also a key.
Cloak of armour and resistance (acid 10, +2 deflection AC): Usable by wizards
Ornate Staff
