** NOTICE: WE ARE STILL WORKING ON DEFINING THE DETAILS. WHEN THIS MESSAGE IS GONE THEN ASSUME IT TO BE FINALIZED! **
Source Material
This is a D&D 3.5 core rule books only game.
Level
All characters will begin at level 8. They begin with the base experience for the level (28,000).
Hit Points
Maximum for level 1.
Roll normally according to your class(es) and level.
Ability Scores
Roll 4d6 with the dice roller provided on this forum. Re-roll 1's and keeping the highest three dice.
Alignment
This adventure posits that the PCs have a common vested interest in working together. Anyone wishing to play an alignment which inherently conflicts with the majority of the party (most likely an evil PC) have both the means to conceal his alignment from the rest of the party, and a motive to work with them, rather then those who more closely mirror his own beliefs.
Races and Classes
All races in the core rulebooks will be acceptable, as will all classes and prestige classes contained there in as well.
Materials must also be from core rulebooks. If there is something you really really want propose it to the DMs prior to being included in a PC. Alternate Core classes are not available.
Magic items must be approved by either of the DMs before use in game. These items must also be from core rulebooks. If there is something you really really want propose it to the DMs but please try to submit one or two reasonable requests. We don't want to get bogged down in discussions about items.
Psionic Classes, Races, and Items will not be accepted.
Language
All character's will speak Common (reading is optional) and know their racial language or dialect. These do not count towards the normal languages you know based on your Intelligence bonus.
Speak Language Skill: Players may only take this skill provided their character has someone teach him the language or sufficient tomes to study. It will take 1d4 +1 continuous weeks to learn a language with a minimum of two uninterrupted hours per day.
Speak to the DMs to see if the particular language can be learned and to keep track of the learning process if the language is approved.
Spells
Wizards wishing to know more spells then the number indicated by their class and level, may pay the cost of a scroll of the appropriate spell at it's minimum caster level - they will be assumed to have successfully scribed this scroll into their spellbooks.
Wealth
Character's will have 27,000 gold pieces to spend.
Equipment
No single item may be worth more then 25% (6750 gp) of the total wealth.
Characters are assumed to have the following items if they wish (they may not be sold to buy other items):
Backpack
Bedroll
Blanket, Winter
1 wk Iron Rations
Torch x2
Waterskin
