As most of you probably know, a while ago Marvel released a "40 Years of the Amazing Spider-Man" CD set, with the first 40 years of the title on 9 CD-ROM's. I snapped this up right away, but said at the time that I'd really prefer a set of the Fantastic Four or X-Men, and why the heck didn't they put it on a DVD instead of 9 CD's??? The other drawback to the Spider-Man set was that it included NO annuals, and in recent years the darned thing has basically been split into three parts, with part of the story in Amazing, part in Spectacular, and part in another Spider-Man title, which makes the recent years pretty annoying if you've only got Spectacular. Anyway, I only recently noticed that the Fantastic Four is now out with a DVD set called "44 Years of the Fantastic 4" which has all the same stuff, plus some annuals, and I'm grinning with delight. It's been out for a little while, and the X-Men are coming soon. Now, my only questions are- why is Marvel reading my mind, and do I get any privacy from them in the washroom? Oh, best place I can find to buy them so far is at Dreamland Comics online- ( www.dreamlandcomics.com/html/index.htm ), but let me know if you find anything better. On a side note, I heard Thor died last year- what was up with that?

Its no secret that Marvel comics will be bringing back Thor. At what time no one knows. The did end his title on a high note. with a story based on Raganork. Great read.
Also bought Batman Begins on dvd when it went on sale. If u havent seen this movie....u should rush out and see it. One revue said that it was a great movie...that it just dealt with Batman. take it for what that was worth. But was a vast improvement on the last 3 movies and better then Keatons first one. good movie

Well, Marvel has been busy putting the comics on DVD. Particularly the ones I've already bought with more features. Grr. Anyway, they now have Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer (together), Iron Man, Spider Man (On DVD instead of 11 CD's, and they included the annuals this time), Ghost Rider, The Hulk, The Avengers, Captain America, and probably some others as well. I'd imagine it's only a matter of time before you'd see Thor, MH. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000P9IIFA/sr/ref=pd_cp_sw_1/103-0262639-1399843?ie=UTF8&qid=1193274266&sr=8-11&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-41&pf_rd_r=0CJMPA6GCF6D18WSN16Q&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=309530501&pf_rd_i=B000HKIM7Q

I got the X-Men DVD set and the Hulk set, 40+ years of comics for each one. I've been reading them for quite a while now, but I'm only up to about 1972, I'm trying to keep my Hulk/X-Men/Fantastic Four readings to about the same point in each. I've gotten past where the Comics Code was weakened thanks to Marvel's efforts, so some things got a lot better. I don't see the Hulk insisting on not killing people anymore- I'm reading a 1972 issue, and an assassin has apparently killed a girl the Hulk loves. Not the best for your life expectancy, as he finds out with a brief shriek. I did get quite used to all the aspects of the Code, though- I was quite startled when Dr. Octopus killed some people when I was reading through the Spider-Man CD's a few years ago. Anyway, I'm having fun with my collections and looking forward to having new ones cluttering up the place, despite that it'll take me months to read the ones I have, hehe.
