I got my copy yesterday. For starters, DO THE UPDATE immediately. This game was shipped with more bugs in it than TOEE had. As shipped the game is for the most part unplayable. You go to open a chest and unless you are right next to it, you will just start bouncing around it. Same with remains. It was very jumpy to begin with, I felt I was on-line and was in lag city. I just did the update and will now see if that helped. I had also took all my stuff down to the minimums, which helped with the lag part.
I completed the tutorial and that was hard enough with the troubles. Really bad to start main part. Do the tutorial, unless you have a level adjustment, you will be level 3.
Looting is fixed with patch, however my game is still choppy. I have 2.93ghz processor, recommended is 3.0, and a GeForce fx5200 vid card, which apparently is not good enough. The specs for this game seem too high. And I have 1,256 RAM, with 1gb recommended. Oh Yeah the cameras will drive you nuts also.

I got my copy on Tuesday. At first I tryed to play without updating.. and I though it was a joke.
But with the update it's quite alright. I'm still crashing anytime a DM leaves the game for unknown reason but well, I'm able to play.
I am already quite advanced in the game now, and well it is really pretty. I find many of the character skins a bit too realistic.. it makes them almost as ugly as reality may be but well, that's maybe the first time I play a game in which the characters are not top models.
I have e P4 3.0 Ghz, Geforce 6600 and 1 Go RAM and the games runs perfectly with almost all details activated.
There have been many improvement from the first one. The campaign is not to difficult, at least when playing a wizard, if you know how to make a character. I guess people not too familiar with D&D will have some trouble though, but that was already how it was it the first one if I remember well.

Yeah, I just dumped money into buying a slave HD so I could play the game, mine was full and couldn't delete any programs ATM. Now I think I have to upgrade my Vid Card. That is the only thing that can possible making game so jumpy, which really effects fighting. When I get the money for card, I will be playing a Bard. Naturally Bards and Sorc. only classes that can Multi-class into Red Dragon Disciple, which at level 10 is a 1/2 Dragon. So he will be a Bard 5/Red Dragon Disciple 10/Fighter 5

Well, I have been playing it with what I have. With patience, and a lot of frustration, I am still actually enjoying the game. It is the Video card that is the problem now. I went to try and improve mine, but its hopeless, I need to upgrade my whole computer for the most part. I can't get a card with PCI-Express, not on my Mother Board, nor can I do AGP. So I just can't wait until I can get a computer, I made my bard. I am about 4k from starting him on his path to 1/2 Dragon, or level 6. I still haven't made it to Neverwinter, there are plenty of side quests before you make it to the city, if you want to do them. Hey, I have never been known to turn down XP and loot. Robbie if you read this, you can do some of the stuff without having to Kill everything. I would rate the game as 9/10, but can change as I get further into it. I can't hold them responsible for creating a game with Ridiculous specs to fun at it's highest. Well I could, since I am spending a fortune. The guy at Circuit City said they have a good number of people coming in and upgrading Vid Cards this week. ;D

I learned if you remove Xfire from your computer it helps gameplay issues on low end cards. It comes with the game. I move a little better since I took it out.

I'm in the midst of ACT 2 and am having no problems, other than the camera controls are a bit wonky. Another decent effort by the folks at Obsidian IMO. YMMV

Well I went and got a new computer and have started over. I love this game. The computer I have now, is soooo much better than the one the kids now have. Of course I could still get a better Vid Card, but this one plays the game without any more choppiness. Of course now I am trying to decide which way I'm going. Yes I still made my Bard/Red Dragon Disciple build, but going for something that may go down the more Bad Guy path.

Well, I'm doing about 3 different ones at the same time. However I like that if you give different answers or act a different way, you get different outcomes to some things. I still need to do one as an Evil character and go the Thug route in Neverwinter.

Oh, survivors of the final fight? Human Monk (my character), Dwarf Monk (Khelgar), Human Paladin (Forget 'is name). The rest of those weanies weren't worth keeping alive, thought the Gith cleric almost made it, to my surprise....
