a big WTF? for this movie.
I am normally really good at following movies with obscure story lines, but I was totally lost through most of the movie. I didn't really find it entertaining at all and was very disappointed.
A shame, the first one was pretty good.

You did see the second one right? If not, it would explain things. Also, there is a little WTF about that one, but it was saved for me by watching Geoffry Rush and Johnny Depp butt heads with each other.

I did see the second one. I followed the overlying story, but there was just too much side stuff going on. The wedding in the middle of a fight scene was boarder line rediculous, though I'm guessing that it needed to happen for Orlando Bloom to have shore time with Keira Knightly. I don't know, it was so corney it was rather lost on me.
Just didn't sit well with me.

Keep in mind these movies are based off an Disney amusement park ride. ROFL
I wouldn't put too much thought into it and I agree that this one was much weaker than the other two movies.

Sad indeed. I've heard of drawing inspiration from varied sources but making movies from video games, and amusement park rides seems to be scraping the bottom of the barrel. I might also add that comic book movies are a close second on the Where to get movie ideas due to lack of imagination list. But I do enjoy some of the comic book movies.
