Even though i dont like this guy, he is chasin a sacred record. Our kids might not live to see something this special. So i guess i should keep track of this.
Tongiht Bonds hit his 710 home run of his career in a 4-1 loss to the Mets. This puts him 4 home runs behind Babe Ruth for 2nd all-time.
Hank Aaron: 755 Babe Ruth: 714 Barry Bonds: 710

Well I love Barry Bonds. The guy has a beef with the media, they in turn try and find as much bad stuff to right about the guy. He hasn't done anything that everyone else did in that era. McGuire was doped up, but loved by the media and no one talks about taking away any of his records. Remember Steve Carlton refused to talk to the media most of his career in Philly.

Just because i dont like the guy doesnt mean i dont respect him. Until he is found guilty of doin something wrong in my eyes he is still innocent. Last time i checked i still lived in America and here u are post to be innocent until proven guilty.

Hah, Innocent before proven guilty went out the door about 10 years ago I think. Even O.J. who was found innocent, is guilty to about 65% of America. I think the average Joe is still considered Innocent first, but stars are soooo different. Michael Jackson was Guilty in most peoples eyes before any evidence went into effect. LOL, managers must not have any respect for Albert Puljos tho. I don't care who is hitting behind him, walk him and take your chances. He should be getting way more IBB than he is getting or even pitching around him.

MLB has announced they willn not celebrate when Bonds goes by Babe Ruth in the home run rankings. And why would they. That would be only for 2nd place. It isnt setting any kind of record

Bonds hit his 712th home run of his career tonight. He is now 2 home runs behind Babe Ruth. Surprise surprise, Bonds homers tonight and the Giants still lost. lol.
Aaron: 755 Ruth: 714 Bonds: 712
Bonds did say in a interview that he think Aaron might be out of reach. I think if theres any chance of him catching Aaron is for him to play at least next year. I dont think he willb e able to do it this year. Thing is i am not sure if his body can hold up for one more year.

Hey one thing to keep in mind. This weekend Bonds is in Philly and could pass Ruth there, becoming the all time left handed home run hitter. Granted he still couldn't hold Ruth's J*ck strap but still it is history.

Oh poop poor Bonds. The Phillies completely shut him down friday night. He went 0-3 with a walk. What it most feel like to be shown up by the phillies future all-star first baseman Ryan Howard who went 2-4 with two home runs. heehee
