I have become unavailable for any Sunday for the rest of October. Family stuff has come up. Ungrim is basically dead anyway, so missing won't be a big deal.

Well, I'd hardly call Ungrim dead, but family comes first. It's not the first time he's been an immovable statue, if I recall correctly.
Is the 3rd Sunday of the month, October 17th, good for everyone else? The group's small enough that if more than one person miss it we'll need to push it into November.

it will work for me.
Remember, I now have level 7 spells. I will take Break Enchantment if you and Nick want to be back to normal. If you gonna bring in new characters, I'll take something else.

You should always assume that you will take the spell that helps the party as is. October is touch and go for me, but it should work out for sunday the 17th. November and December this year are going to be nearly impossible. I'll have just keep my fingers crossed that a day will be free on the right weekends.

Kevin,
You should take whatever spell you want. It is no skin of my nose if Ungrim fails to be changed back from a statue.
I don't believe that Johann (sp) ever really liked the views and actions of Ungrim and Hank.

Truly spoken, if Hank falls then it is about time, considering the number of close calls and a little more than close calls. If you choose the spell to bring Hank back that is fine. If not, I shall have an easy character to go, a halfling mounted fighter, or a paladin (possibly mounted possibly not, possibly halfling possibly not) core books only level 12, 32 point buy (step in any time rincewind if I have something wrong). The only other idea I have is a Ronin Samurai (no special classes, just fighter or fighter rogue), so I will probably make all three, unless our DM chimes in and says that the samurai are all gone, or that the ronin concept is totally inconsistent with his world. See everyone but Tomas on sunday. PS- Dragonsrule, if you want to take break enchantment by all means do so, but don't feel obligated to do so just to keep Hank around for a while longer.

This could get to be fun. Depending on where Tyler is gonna take this, I may be changing drastically. I've had a dream, and yep, St. Cuthbert is not happy with me. Something about serving 2 masters. As our group has tried to be "Lawful" we have somehow never been on the Good side of the spectrum. Well that depends on who is the good side.
Ungrim is way too chaotic, it's the crazy in him I know. Hank just wants to kill things. For the right incentive my alignment might be changing away from LN. So I have no trouble taking Break Enchantment, just change out when I can. However, I see us going in a different direction soon. So don't make a Paladin, Nick. LOL
It will be a shame, that I may lose the Cudgel, after all we went thru to get it. But the way I see it, we are way under equipped for the level we are at anyway. Especially with what we fight all the time.

I wouldn't avoid making a paladin just because a party member might go evil. Remember, detect evil is at will, but not always active. My paladin, if I bother to make one, wouldn't be a willy nilly smiter. He'd be more likely to save his powers for powerful foes, and would otherwise hope to be a shining example of the way others should hope to be. Anyway, I'll be building the characters today and however and look forward to whatever surprises await me.

I may be a bit late today, as I've lost track of something rather vital and need to find it before coming.

RIP, Ungrim and Hank. I tried 2x to break enchantment with Hank. I didn't get the roll I needed. The first attempt on Ungrim was better but still not good enough. Waited until we were about to rest for 3rd night back, tried 2 more times with Ungrim. Sorry Tom, apparently St. Cuthbert is even more upset with me, or really hates Ungrim. Both those rolls were a 1.
So I take that as a sign, for another new party member.

Wow, I had a great time playing a character who wasn't borderline invulnerable. We'll have to see about next month and December, whether or not I can make it.

I assume that I didn't gain 2000 XP from the solitary ray we fought, so no level for Shun quite yet. Great session. I like Hasim's practical knowledge being a nice counter to Shun and Johann's book-smarts.
Also, I will continue attempting to find a use for Knowledge: Mathematics, regardless of the scenario. Eventually it will give me a +1 to something.

You should invent a feat to have it give you +1 or more to attack and damage with a ranged weapon depending on a skill check, or a bonus on damage against an object. If you get the feat approved then you don't have to worry about being granted the bonus by the DMs graces. If you get the feat approved. On those lines I would like to invent a feat to give me a +1 or better on my critical multiplier with all weapons and a +4 on armor class in medium armor while using a shield and a scimitar or something equally improbable to actually be doing.

Heh, yes, an interesting session, with two metal statues being dragged halfway across the country by camel. I should point out that neither Hank nor Ungrim are dead, per se, although reversing a 20th caster level effect is rough. And two simultaneous ones on a caster level check to bring Ungrim back- man, St. Cuthbert REALLY hates Ungrim. You're lucky you didn't melt.
