The battlefield control caster/psion sounds like the more effective option to me, considering how much more powerful casters are at higher levels, however I think Dmitri already tried that once. Of course, that is when we fought the stinkin beholder.

Yea, that was a battlefield control wizard - a conjurer, IIRC... who got blasted out of existence by the beholder.

An in-progress look at my new character, the aforementioned battlefield control psion. At Kevin's request for less optimization, I steered clear of Complete Psionic and only used material in the Expanded Psionics Handbook. www.carpedm.name/profiler/view.php?id=198I envision him as a lover of mathematics, especially geometry. He loves the elegant simplicity of shapes and forms, and his astral constructs typically take the form of platonic solids. He considers psionics a way to reduce the world to its simplest shapes and thus manipulate it. In general, he encapsulates your typical mathematician, strongly inclined toward the logical and scientific end of things and finding it difficult to keep an eye on his surroundings or empathize with people because of this focus. If anyone has requests for clarification of abilities, I can post them here.

What are your racial ability score modifiers? I can only seem to see 31 points being used and then 2 points added to intelligence (level 4 and level 8) and I thought Rincewind had the point buy set at 32 points. Maybe I'm counting wrong.
