I was suprised that a thread wasn't started. I just saw it, and was pleasantly suprised. Now as they continue to make new movies, with this group, let us hope the writing can keep up. I got a little tired with 1 good movie, followed by a bad movie, or an indifferent one.
However I saw a trailer for the New G.I. Joe movie. I for one just from the trailer will not be seeing this movie, probably not even when on DVD. The trailer shows it no way near anything, from the GI Joe of our youth.

My wife and I really enjoyed this movie.
I have to agree with you about the G.I. Joe movie. It looks like a decent action movie but it doesn't do anything for me being a G.I. Joe movie.

I saw the movie a week or two ago. It was absolutely excellent, although it did have the standard Star Trek Contrived Plot Device, namely the red matter. That was the only downside I could spot.

Actually the biggest downside, was the Time Travel. I mean, Vulcan gets destroyed, Spocks mother dies. Both of those were CORE to the original series, and even a few of the Original movies.
