I've been running a play-by-message-board Planescape game for some time now, and I'm looking for a few more players. The game is a unique one: it's character-driven as opposed to plot-driven. I won't lead anyone along or force people to follow a story line -- it's up to the players to find things to do and to make the next move (or join a party that's already moving). In the meantime, I'll be dangling leads out there: faction business, intrigue, mercenary work, treasure hunts, exploration, and many other opportunities are there for the taking. For players more interested in person-to-person roleplaying instead of the adventuring variety, there is a large freeform section where characters can interact whenever and wherever they please. I encourage players to make use of both. We've had nearly 40 PCs over time (though not all of them at once); as it often happens with online games, many of them made a few posts and disappeared. Three years after it started, the same core group of players is still around. The game system is AD&D 2nd edition with some aspects of Skills & Powers; I'm more than happy to walk people through, whether or not they're at all familiar with the rules or the setting. Whether you'd like to be the newest permanent fixture or just stay and write for a bit, you're welcome. For anyone interested, you can find the game at: www.darkoftheday.proboards58.com/Thanks for your time, and I hope to see some of you there. : )

I have never played in the planescape setting, but from what I do know about it, it does sound cool, especially for all the competing agendas and ulterior motives different planar entities might have. The politics and intrigue! I think I'd enjoy just reading up on the manual of the planes and in-depth looks at the various planes. It would be something to see the march of the Modrons or the gathering feast called by As**deus! hehe
