OK... I'll repost my first backstory from page 1 of the LGG2 character creation thread, and then expand on it with what's been added since.
Godric Lifereaver Showing great potential, Godric was enrolled at the Warmage academy at an early age. Reveling in the magical power he could wield in battle, he was drawn to the worship of Wee Jas. He is accomplished in forging weapons of war and seeks magical knowledge anywhere it may be found. He hopes to one day create powerful magical items to honor the name of Wee Jas, and seeks to help people better understand her nature.
His older brother, Cedric, is also a warmage, but became fascinated by the nature of battle and war and sought some training as a warrior to complement his knowledge of magical destruction. The two brothers had a falling out with Godric's worship of Wee Jas, and Godric, to his sorrow, has never been able to convince his brother or his parents to follow the Ruby Lady.
Godric's training has advanced his spells as both a cleric of Wee Jas and as a warmage, and he is currently creating some magical weapons of mass destruction to honor the name of the goddess most high, Wee Jas. He tries to proselytize whenever he can, and has used his people skills to his advantage in making converts. Fortunately none have dared to mock her in his presence...

Grog one simple, resounding echo explains it all- KORD! Kord teaches the way Grog lives. Outcast from traditional dwarven society, Grog has wandered the world of the living for much of his current life, moving from one rundown city to the next following a lifelong bender. Rare is the moment when Grog sits down to contemplate his life experiences and the lessons others may see in them. In recent years, Grog observed that he has an unusual knack for settling disputes, mostly by means of physical force. Pursuant to this discovery, he began his life as a hired fighter. Prefering strong arm tactics to martial prowess, Grog suited up in spiked full plate and set out to bust some skulls. Flash forward to present day, Grog is a hopeless alcoholic, in over his head in a war he neither understands nor makes any effort to avoid. Time of his life.

Whynot was a typical halfling, curious beyond belief. He was always picking up stuff that did not belong to him, he was just curious on what they did. He really didn't mean to take them. When he was told he can't keep doing that, his typical responce was, whynot. At one point he did try and settle down, but as fate would have it, he was hired on as a "guide" for a group of adventurers. But alas the group has shown him exactly how much he loved to take over possesion of stuff that technically wasn't his. And he has learned how to become a very good killing machine, and finds himself liking it even more every day. His goal in life is to become the most famous rogue in the known world and beyond. Whoa be to any that try to stop him. At the moment he keeps investing into more equipment that will make him feared all over the known world. He is looking forward to discovering new adventures and treasures. One day he hopes to hear someone go whynot and the person they are with start looking around, and making sure all their possesions are still there.
