And so the story continues.
It has been two months now since you first left Sarago as unskilled adventurers. Only two months, though the times seem to pass like years. The sun light glitters on the waters below setting the sea like a Blue Sapphire carpet on which you tread. The sky above is painted with wispy clouds that float lazily by, casting a faint shadow on the ocean. The deck of your ship however, is slick with the blood of pirates. Those you took prisoner were disarmed and sent below. They will work hard for you, if you treat them right but make no mistake. They are loyal to their escaped captain.
You all are elated. You have just found a legendary ship whose powers are not yet fully known, you have flown and crashed the same ship, fought for its control, you have sunk a pirates ship and fought a raging battle against great odds. You have bled but you are all alive and well. The world is yours.
Still you must know that the wheel turns, time passes.
The Elvin outpost in ruins, burnt to the ground by the Drow and the Eye of Drin lost to them. What elves did not join Cigam aboard the Swift Hammer( you are free to name the ship what you like) moved back into the deep wood to consult and the elders in the Elvin city FohstFenLey and the Emerald Tree.
The Druid council now gathers to elect from among them a new, Arch Druid. But the out come is grim. It can only be a hesitant young man with great power or an elder man who seeks to bring back the dark magics of the Druidic Order. The council is divided and are trusting of neither.
The Old king rallies what forces remain loyal to him under a new banner. The symbol of a blood red sun. Led by his General at arms, the resistance gains members and rumors of war are whispered over campfires and tavern tankards.
The Queen of the lands seeks to meet with the kings of nearby lands to form a treatise, she has dispatched couriers to three nearby kingdoms inviting them to join her in Sarago to discuss a union. Meanwhile a ship is sent north bearing items of winter weathering.
At the same time she begins to win the support of the people by increasing wages by 1/5, enforcing local law by increasing the number of guards to patrol the city as well as the surrounding land. Raven's father has been given a more active roll in governing the surrounding lands. The Queen, Lady Gray, continues to build a temple of Drin within the cities walls.
The Wheel turns.........

Pizza? I'm not sure, but I may have small challenges with getting to the game on time. Just a question of how fast someone else will drive drunk on the turn pike.

If it's not too much trouble, Morgause and I would like an extra-cheese pizza. If it is too much trouble, we've got lots of Dominos coupons and could pick things up ourselves or have them delivered. And be careful with that drive, it's better that you get here late than not at all. After all, I haven't played D&D in a month, and if you die in a fiery wreck it'll probably get the game cancelled, and that would be just awful.

Speaking of not getting there. My sitter fell through for tomorrow and my wife will be at work from 10 - 5pm. Very inconvenient. There is no way I can play a game with an almost 2 year old in tow. I will have to be absent, yet again from the game, much to my eternal dismay. 2 in a row...this sucks. I am assuming you have my character sheet if someone wanted to role play him for me, I'm totally ok with that. Even if death becomes him. Sorry guys

Well that was interesting.
Grond, your character died. You weren't there and so we used him as cannon fodder. OK, I was just joking.
So, where do I begin.... or perhaps I should say, when do I begin.
After securing the Emerald Hammer and searching the ship from top to bottom and researching the vessels power they have discovered how to make the skuttles function. The skuttles are impervious to attacks except from disintegrate, Mordenkins disjunction and anti magic fields. able to withstand even the most severe pressures of the deep. The party discovers however, that even with spells of water breathing they cannot withstand the pressures of the deep for long without the skuttles. They meet their first underwater race and manage to escape after being hopelessly outnumbered. In the captains cabin they find the bones of first mate Sammy the Wise, The Fox and his wife. Also having documents that point the Fox out as the heartless killer of the crew the party decides to let the dead confront the dead. With Leera, the foxes wife, in possession of the ship the necromancer at last shows his true nature as he attempts to speak with the dead. This was supposed to prove to the ghost of Leera that her husband was the murderer and she could then rest in peace. Of course the dead captain blames his first mate and the first mate blames his captain. Seeing that there lies yet another mystery the necromancer hits upon a brilliant idea. Working in private with the bones of leera he calls upon the wish granted him by the demon and inadvertently sends the captains wife (now alive and well) back in time, one week before she dies. Unknown to the party, the Leera that was sent back is mistaken for a doppelganger and Leera of the past attacks, Leera of the present. The two touch...... a person in one time cannot occupy the same space as the same person in another time. Until the two touch the, person of the present is outside of time. He does not age, cannot die, has all his abilities and material items he carries and they do not change, rust, decay or otherwise can be destroyed until they leave his person or until the person interferes with the course of events that led to him having them. The person can still feel pain and suffering, is subject to hunger, sleep and he can still be affected by most spells.
I know this is strange but these are the principles our heroes have discovered. When the two Leeras touched a rift was torn in the fabric of time and a paradox was created. A paradox that did not immediately affect the party but it was only a matter of time.
The Ritual performed by Necromancer was done on the Poop deck and so the Rift formed there. Soon ghosts of the past were appearing in the present and then vanishing. Leaving the objects that they dropped, behind. To make matters worse, as our heroes divided up treasure, a set of Dimensional Mines were discovered, not knowing what they were, the necromancer dropped them into a portable hole and they detonated, sending the Necromancer to the astral plane and tearing a hole in the fabric of space. Having heard of Shiv's visit to the Astral plane, Ryle speeds back through the tear, ending up in the same place he left but in another time.
And so, even as the crew of the Emerald Hammer flies to the Elvin city, Ryle moves between the past and the present, altering time and attempting to fix the mistakes he made. The ship is nearly destroyed, saved, lost, found, displaced in time and sent to the shadow plane. There the Shadow Gem that Ryle holds finally enacts its curse and he is turned to a creature of the shadow plane. He returns to his time aboard the Emerald Hammer.
In the end the Fox outsmarts the party by placing all the clues and traps as was told to him by Ryle, where they would be found but moves the ship to a new location. Using the shadow plane as his means of travel and reappearing on the others side of the world were he lives long and eventually hides the ship for the party to find. His wizard and natural events help to repair the Rift in time (But not the rift in space) And the party is left with only a mocking letter from the Fox and promises of his ship when they find it again. Of course none of the party has any memory of the events, Except for Ryle and for Cigam, whose memories where placed in his Crystal ball by his god.
Ryle does use his second wish to bring the vessel and them to the Elvin city and so they at last can find rest in a city without fear of being hunted or haunted. Ryle has one wish left. He had better use it wisely. It may be his last.
ALTERATIONS IN TIME: The Fox has become a low level demi god of Pirates now. A Patron Saint if you will. Leera returned to her family and worked hard to find peace between the kingdom and the Pirates. Her father, although loathing of Pirates did not start a bloody campaign against them. They find safe harbor and while they still deal underhandedly, the kingdom pays them an "export sir Tax" for trade from foreign shores.
Princess Leera hires dwarves to begin mining an old gold mine located where the Rock Quarry Prison used to be. It was later taken over by a Red Dragon who laired there and raided ships off the coast. The Dragon eventually vanished. Some say he was killed others say the Drow took him. In any case the area is said to be cursed by the evil aura of the dragon.
A dragon cult started in the area but died out. Some whisper that the cult still exists though.
The temple of Lor and Drin was built in the city and even after the religion faded following a bloody civil war, the temple remains, converted into a library for magical arts study. Though the ruins below remained largely undiscovered until the party finds them.
The Pirates Cove is place along the tall bluffs where lovers go to sit and romantic suicides go to do their deeds. The battle between pirate and merchant vessel never happened and the 12 men that accompanied the party to the rangers never met.
The old king did go off to war but was killed, his young brother (only 18) took his place but was kidnapped by his twin cousin who was seduced by the witch. The True King now builds an army to usurp his cousin (who still lives, with the Lady Gray as his queen). After being freed from slavery by the party. (he was being held by slavers on a pirate vessel bound for the Dark continent)
The true king rides under the banner of a blood red sun but some whisper that his quest for vengeance has made him mad as he has called for the Order of the Dragon to be rekindled. This coincides with the reappearance of Averax, the Red dragon.
There are a few other changes to history, I'll write them down later. Otherwise everything else remains the same.
See what you guys put me through. arrggg!! lol

Twin Cousin? Now that could be interesting. Did the Gods take one baby from the womb and transfer it to his aunt. I'm kidding but that does sound weird. A cousin who has a striking resemblance sounds better. Does this mean that Lady Gray no longer killed him after the wedding? Plus, is she now not building the Temple of Drinn? and building an army of Goblins and Orcs? If that is the case then the Old King may need to disappear again.

Sorry. Yes the cousins are not true twins but do bear a particlullarly striking resemblance. The Queen did not murder the king but is controlling him and she is still building the temple of Drin. She uses make up and small magic to make the young boy look exactly like the king. And yes, she is building an army. She is still running the show but from the shadows. The Witch Queen has had her young puppet declare the reopening of the Temple of Lor and Drin in the city. Thus the Library Magica has been closed and gutted, with no place for the books or the mages to go.

Ok, wait a minute. Actually the cousin would not be young. He's still the same age as he was originally so he took office after the young king disappeared. A plot was devised to make it look like he was killed by agents of the neighboring kindgdom. This allowed the cousin to take the throne, and declare sanctions against the Marshwell Kingdom. All trade, was halted and any officials of the kingdom were imprisoned. A small prison has been built in the Rock Quary Gold Mine. The Marshwell kingdom of course is threatening war if the officials are not released and claim innocents of the death of the true king. Meanwhile he marries the witch and is killed by her. So that is still more or less the same as it was. The party is hired by agents of the Queen to break into the prision and release key delegates. This leads to the release of Avrax from his shadow prison and to the Drow retaliation. The true king rallies his forces even as the kingdom of Marshwell tries to restore trade though the Queen demands a heavy tax. Meanwhile she builds her army in the mountains around Dark Wood.

OK, so she really is mad at us since we have the Spear and Shield of Lor now. I need to know who is giving Aramor is headed back to the Temple. I know my character that is joining could use them. Also I will be leaving all the Adamantine with the party, so all that would have been my plate armor is now at your dispossal for weapons, shields, etc..., I will be giving my new character most of the money Aramor got, the rest is going to the Temple. To the end he is a Paladin. ;D
Antioch, is the party gonna get Rual ressurected, or are you gonna keep your Weretiger sailor? I was making my 1/2 dragon a Ranger but he could be a Druid also, I just would have to reverse my Dex and Wisdom scores. HP would be the same, just lose some AC to start.

Give the resurrection a go...the outcome of it will determine what I play. When I can make it next....I hate when the real world interupts with my gaming time.

Yeah, you would be in your element with your summoner but life goes on. Not a great loss the last game, as most of the attention was focused on Vera. My apologies if any of you felt left out but It is my goal that you each shall have time in the Lime Light. I know for certain that Locksly's skills will be important in future adventures even as he has proven his worth in the past and Ruth will play a decisive roll in coming events, though I'm not sure how far that will be yet. Shiv may turn the tides of war and Cigam's knowledge has already proven its worth and will yet again. The Druid also has an improtant task. The rest of you will have yours as time goes by.
