MOONSILVER
In essence, Moonsilver can be considered the pagan's version of "holy water". It may be used during full moon rituals to intensify one's closeness with the moon herself.
To create Moonsilver:
On the night of a full moon, fill a silver chalice with clear spring water, hold it upwards to the moon. Then recite:
"Lady Moon, your shimmering face reflects upon this water. Spin your silvery web, threads reaching down to me/us, infusing this water with your blessings."
"I/we drink of this Moonsilver to become one with your light. It enfolds me/us into your arms, your blessings shining bright upon me/us."
Please note that there is another connotation of moonsilver that can lead to severe illness and/or death. The waxing crescent moon is also the alchemist symbol for mercury, also known as quicksilver or liquid silver, and hence its association with the term moonsilver. However, inhaling or ingesting mercury is a dangerous deed, so the handling of mercury should not be considered for any type of ritual or spellcraft.
