Joe asked me about how the NPCs at the Conclave are going to level up and I think I have an idea. This xp proposal only applies to the "leaders" or people of importance. The formulae I'm using is: What do you think?

Don't forget to apply the double square root with the square root divided by 2 times b plus c then account for PI times 3.14 divided byt he parabola of 42 with the remainded factored out. ?@#%@#% I hate algebra. what's worse is some of these are actual formula i'm using right now for my algebra class. only 2 more classes to go till i become a MATHLETE!

<counting Joe's fingers to figure out which number he is indicating>
Ok, I'll translate the formula:
NPC level = Party level + 2 (maximum: level 20)

so in other words, if i am going to create a NPC for the Conclave ... they should be around lvl 14 ... since if i am right most of us are around lvl 12.

That would be correct. But remember this is just a proposal and Roy needs to approve and/or alter it before we can use it.

Level 14 or highter should only apply to character/npc teachers and distinquished postitions. Students should be around levels 3 -7

*** NEW NPC XP ThOUGHT ***
It occurred to me today that our NPCs seem to be more involved in daily activities than I previously expected. My first proposal seems a bit too generous but it depends on how fast Roy wants us to level given that the end of the group is sometime in the near future.
My new thought was that we would give half of the experience that our main characters get and give them to the NPCs. The main character can also choose to spend more xp on the NPC from his pool of xp.
For example: Gizgard gets 1000 xp for an adventure. That would give Max 500 xp. If I decide I want to level up Max a bit more I will tell Roy that I'm going to take 500 xp away from Gizgard to give to Max. So in the end Gizgard would get 500 xp and Max would get 1000 xp.
I think this is a more balanced proposal for the following reasons: 1. NPCs aren't getting a ton of xp for free. 2. It keeps the NPCs playable. 3. The player has options and isn't getting a free ride in leveling up the NPC. 4. Slows the leveling down if players choose to level up the NPC.
Let me know what you think.
