Be careful where you walk in this dungeon. Right now there is a shewolf prowling about, but she's not the one you need to worry about. Join her, and see where she will lead you....or to what end? This is a revised version of a game I dm'd on another forum, and it was quite enjoyable for everyone.
I will be dming this rp thread, acting more as your guide than as a compatriot. It will be 2e based, character level is 3rd, only 1 magic item per character (a scroll, potion or +1 dagger or sword), standard races (no half breeds, except half elf and half orc which are standard races) and classes........no 3e, epic levels, other gaming systems and most definitely NO MUNCHKINISM.
Post your characters on this thread, and I will let you know when you can post to the actual RP thread. This will be dungeon hacking, it's up to the PCs if they want to work up any relationships between themselves.
All questions, comments, ideas and overall OOC chat will take place here on the Brainstorm thread, NOT on the actual gaming thread.

Description : Thesu is a man in his late twenties, short (about 5 ft 4") and with his hair cut short to disguise his receding hair. His eyes are a deep brown and his nose is squashed flat after an incident with a boat paddle and the seamstress. He wears faded and battered brigadine armour patched all over, usually with offcuts of other leather making him a mishmash of colour. He carrys his sword openly at his hip, with two daggers at each side and several darts in the twin straps of his backpack.
Weapon Proficiencies : Sabre (specialized) Dagger Dart
Non-Weapon Proficiencies : Agriculture - 13 Animal Handling - 7 Animal Lore - 13 Brewing - 13 Rope Use - 15 Set Snares - 12
History - Thesu comes from a small farming community in the wilds. His father grows hops, wheat and keeps some cattle.
For the last fifteen years Thesu has worked the fields, harvesting the hops and brewing a good local ale. While he helped his older brother with the cattle, he never really picked up the knack. He was a skilled farmer however and kept the pests from the crops.
His father was a big, brusk man and Thesu is neither, being somewhat short and garrolous.
Thesu's father had high hopes that his son would marry the daughter of the local seamstress, one Issave. Thesu himself himself was confident of his own chances and as such was roostery and somewhat arrogant towards her. An incident on the local lake soon deflated him and he returned to the farm determined never to talk to a woman again.
After many years on the farm, Thesu's enthusiasm waned somewhat and when a passing mercenary company passed by, Thesu took the opportunity to finally make something of himself.
Equipment - Thesu wears worn brigandine armour. He has never learned to truly use the shield and feels uncomfortable with it. However he is a seasoned campaigner and knows that in some situations a shield is very handy.
He has no skill with the bow but has found that darts and daggers he has a natural afinity for and regularly starts combat by bombarding his opponents with a barrage of darts before closing to melee.His favoured weapon is a sabre which he is somewhat skilled in and occasionally pairs it with a dagger although his skill with two weapons is poor.
Thesu carrys a light backpack with straps adapted to carry his darts. The backpack carrys his camping essentials some home brewed beer and a small glass vial which contains a healing solution. A lantern hangs from the bottom of the pack.
Thesu carries a small pouch containing a few gold coins and a small bag containing a large quantity of copper at his belt.

Description : 6'5" tall with long greasy black hair hendrik is rather beefy, clumsy, and severly accident prone. he is a cleric of the goddess of luck but it seems as if bad luck follows him everywhere he has dark tan skin and brown sulking eyes

Well, it'd be a pretty darn difficult dungeon crawl without a thief, so that's the way I'd go, character-wise. I'll need to see rules to make any more progress.

Oh, this party will most definitely need a thief who can figure out the traps and tricks. Muhahahahahahaha. As for the rules, the basics are in my initial post for this thread. That's the joy of freeform, no hardnosed rules or dice rolling, just lots of fun. But as Garat and MH have pointed out, we'll help you out.

Do you roll up the characters as if it were 1ed? You can, then just send the stats to me, I'll input them into the 2e generator I have on the computer, and tweak it up for you. Since we're not playing by strict rules, there will be a lot of leeway on character stats and actions anyway.

Ok, after a very long time I have finally decided to post a character.

DESCRIPTION:
A tall man, 6'5 in red robes with an angular face and long White hair. Sim weilds a large staff. He rides a mule called snarfalopolis and has a rat familier called snickerpuss. Sim is the classic absent minded professor. A meddler and with an air of supuriority about him. He has delusions of grandure and tends to blame what he does not know on either the gods or planar beasts. His spells often go awry. Sometimes for the better but most often for the worst.
He was born to a family of some wealth and was able to mingle with those of high society for a short time. His mother and father were taken by a dragon when he was but a young adult. He witnessed thier deaths bu he alone was left alive. The dragon simply stared at him, laughed and flew away. They say that the insedent drove Sim a little mad and ever since has had a morbid facination with dragons. He had been studying the arts at a local school up to this time but after took to learning magic on his oun terms. He is infatuated with anything magical and it is his private goal to be the most powerful Wizard to walk the planes of existance and to be able to bend the will of dragons to his oun.
