Ah, there's the beauty of it- they fill out paperwork on their health conditions at the beginning, so I'd already know, heh.

Saw this on a hotel reservation page today- "Service animals allowed for persons with disabilities."
Oh good, how nice to know they comply with federal LAW. Although it might be more rewarding staying somewhere which doesn't allow them, that way you can sue their butts off.
Had another irritated patient- wanted to know why her daughter was put in Focus Monthlies instead of Acuvue 2's, as she had been online shopping and the Ac 2's were cheaper. I checked the yearly price for both through the major internet retailer and the Ac 2's were indeed cheaper, by 20 cents per year. I think she's looking at the box price and not the year price, since Ac 2 lenses are supposed to be worn for 2 weeks and the Focus Monthlies are (guess what) monthly. And she was all indignant when she called. Honestly, if you're that ignorant about what you're talking about, you should be a bit less angry when talking to someone.
Of course, it's not going to help that she's had her daugher in the same pair of monthly trial lenses for 3 months while she shopped around instead of coming back for her one-week contact lens check #doh#

When it comes to money, most people will ignore common sense and personal health and hygiene issues for a surprisingly long time if they think they can save a little. Especially when they are convinced that they can get a better deal out of it.
Edit; "Sentence fragments are to be considered as unacceptable missuses of the english language. Grammer Hammer!"

I have a message in my junk mail box from President Bush (or his campaign HQ, whatever) thanking me for my invaluable support in 2004 for putting him in the White House again. Now I feel nauseated. But I did think it was a bit amusing, since I haven't given him any support whatsoever.

I support our president!!! I voted for him Oh bull, you only voted for him because your wife voted Democrat, and you wanted to yank her chain. You complain about him just as much as the rest of us. See, it's bs like this that gets the wrong politicians elected because, instead of really giving a damn, voting is just a silly game.

How true LWW. I was a Republican for a long time, I now am a Democrat. However if a Republican came along that I can agree to some extent, I won't hesistate to vote for him. Hence the reason I still vote for Spector.
I can say that I can no longer talk politics with my Brother, as he is so far to the right, I can't reason with him. He still thinks Bush is great and that Clinton was a terrible president.

It isn't a silly game, it is a very serious and extremely consequential game.

voting to cancel out my wife's vote was only part of it, I really did want George for president. I just wish he was a better public speaker

Well with election day 2 weeks away, remember one thing. The G.O.P. no longer stands for Grand Old Party, it is dramatically changing to mean God's Own Party, as the far right has way too much influence inside the party. That is not meant to be a good thing. I won't go into why I believe that, since Big Brother could be watching.

Not as true these days as it was. A lot of the churches and the religious movement are figuring out that republicans in general don't represent their views any better than democrats in general, and have started being a bit more picky about canidates. I didn't think they'd ever notice the republican lip-service to Christian values while ignoring most of Jesus's teachings, but I guess people will catch on eventually.
