Hello!
My name is Farhan and I'm a gamer. My family moved to the area last year and we have been hoping to find a gaming store and good people to game with. We had a regular group of friends that would meet to play D&D and other game systems but now three hours is too far to meet very often.
My wife and I have almost 40 years of combined gaming experience and miss the gaming enjoyment and comraderie. We are primarily D&D players but are willing to try just about anything.
Due to two little kids our gaming is frequently limited to one of us at a time or babysitter availability. Therefore we are hoping to find a small group of mature gamers to game with regularly.
With much excitement at finding Six Feet Under and this forum I look forward to hearing from someone.
Farhan & Joanna

Well, with the attendance we've been having lately, I might be able to take another person in LGG3. I'm not positive when our next meeting will be, but we've been on Sundays from 12-5. I can't promise any maturity, though I suppose we really need to start another group which runs on something other than a Sunday, as we're playing then about as often as possible.

As the Elder statesman for most of the groups, I can agree with Rincwind. We can't guarantee the maturity, but hey we have a lot of fun. Welcome to the boards and I hope we can find a spot for you to join up.

Thanks for the quick replies. Let me know when there is a free spot or I can stop by the store on Sunday around noon. Even if I don't get to play I can meet people and check out the gaming environment.

Well, we're not always there on Sundays, so I don't know when is a good time to stop by. We've got to get our August games scheduled first. I know most people will NOT be at Six Feet Under on the 13th, but the other weekends are in limbo right now until people can get their schedules arranged. I'm guessing we'll know more around the evening of the 13th when people have had a chance to talk to each other.

If you need a quick gaming fix, you could always try out the pit on this board. You can use d&d E3.5 to roll up a character and go head to head with another pit fighter. It's fun and helps curve the rp bug for a bit. I'd be more than happy walking you through character creation if need be. I live in New Holland.

Merry Meet Farhan, and regards to your lovely wife Joanna. Well I see you've already met some of the gamers here, and a great bunch they are. Currently, Kaber and I run PAHWG, which games once/month on Saturday. Kaber also runs LGG1 (once/month Sunday) and Teen Group 1 (once/month Saturday)...he's a busy, and rather wonderful, DM. Then again I'm biased, since he's my hubby. ;D Hope you enjoy your first visit to Six Feet Under Games...bring lots of money or credit cards.

Ahhh, and yet another gamer to the boards. Well MH's Rice Crispy cereal did say that if he built it they would come. Well met and Welcome Farhan and family to THE AESIRIN HALL!!!
Care to DM? We need DM's. Of course we love to have players too (perhaps Rabbit can help......I mean Rincewind (sorry RW it just sounded like something Pooh would say "Perhaps Rabbit can help" don't mind me, I go off in these strange tangents now and then.)), and there may be openings in other groups as time passes.
Feel free to wander the board and if the pit is not your style there's always DnD Online. Its pay to play but you can download a 7 day trial free (Dragonsrule can tell you all about it.) and of course my favorite. Neverwinter Nights. Free to play and I'm there most weeknights around 2am with friends. (badlands server mostly) It helps curb RP withdraws. (if you can avoid the Player Killers that is)

Hi everybody,
Thanks for making us feel welcome to the community. I'm currently playing DAoC (Dark Age of Camelot) which I started playing in beta but quit for a couple of years. Now it is fun again. I tried WoW (World of Warcraft) but it turned out to be pointless. I looked into DDo but it doesn't appeal to me for several reason. When I get the chance I'll give The Pit a try. I've tried FFRP (Free Form Roleplay) on forums before and it was fun.
As for DMing, I haven't done it in the 3.5 system for a while, I am a RPGA DM for whatever that is worth. My wife and I lost interest in RPGA. I do run a game every 3-4 months (three DM rotation) but it's my own system and world. Sadly the friends we game with are in NJ and due to a busy life we don't get to meet as often as we like.
Oh, I forgot to mention that we live in Ephrata.
Farhan

nope its in the second sentence of your first post ;D If it was it isn't now Good to meet you and welcome to the boards. Since everyone else said it, I want to also; I live in lancaster. I'm the guy who waits until a thread has been dropped for a month or more, and then posts in it for no reason. I am(was) also running a D&D game that's been on hold for a more convenient location to appear, and a better day to run sessions. When(if) I get it rolling again, depending on how many people come back, I may be able to fit one(or both) of you in if you're(I'm) interested(rabbit).

Hey Grond! It was nice meeting you and I had a awesome time in Kaber's world.
I would love to DM again but I need to finish redoing my game world. Maybe some of you could help me play test it.
Farhan
PS Grond, I did mention in my initial post that I was from Ephrata. I edited it to drive people crazy. lol Sorry about that.
