Good catch Rincewind. I'll update the guidelines.
Thanks!

I had thought the limit was 50% of the total gold? If that isn't the case then I've been misinforming people and need to correct that and apologize.

hmm, not sure where the 50% came from. I've always had it as 75% until Rincewind corrected me.

Though I'm not in the group, the 25% rule is in the DMG, in the section for outfitting PCs of greater than 1st level. I had to look it up for LGG5 when I started it up...
Though i think it is phrased as a suggestion or guideline, I believe.

So, I think I've noticed a number of +2 weapons, I know I marked one on my sheet. Are these OK? the +2 enhancement costs 8000 which is just over the 25%. I just don't want this to get missed before major combat ensues and items like this get used.

Could we get a ruling on the actual percentage we're using please.

Even though some people have been confused about the actual percentage the stated number in the character creation holds true.
25% has always been the percentage.
I will allow people to have one +2 enhancement cost is exempt. For those people who have spoken to me about equipment they may keep what I approved.
I hope that clears up things. If not PM me.
