and just in case.... a little confirmation here. . . Otakon is from the 20th through the 22nd, Olrac and myself will not be available for any gaming those days. The 3rd sunday is the 15th, which would be ideal for LGG3, assuming that is still possible. LGG5, as such, would work well on the 14th (second saturday). Olrac will not be running his game (LGG2) on the 2th of June (this sunday). If that could be scheduled for july 1st, I think that would be best, leaving LGG1 on July 8th. Agreeable enough? I'll copy this message and post it in LGG2, LGG3 and LGG5, and LGG1 just in case, so everyone involved is also informed . . . TRANSMISSION COMPLETE.
POST # 900, and this one might actually be worth something

well.....We haven't actually voted a yay or nay but I guess , as it is a short notice, we leave it to Rincewind since it's his house we're palying at. If he says yes then a level 9 Character is suitable. We can work on the details if its a go.
Of course if its ok then we assume you have transportation? Otherwise one of the others or myself can pcik you up. Game starts at 1 be there by 12 and if Rince says ok then he can give instructions.

Yeah, OK. I guess by now I don't have much hope that Shawn will show up regularly anyway Directions have been sent, although I usually google things instead of reading directions anyway, heh. I think most of us are a good bit beyond level 9, though. Around 12 is more my guess, in which case level 11 might be more appropriate for you, but that's Kaber's call.

Right, let's make it 10th. So your 2 levels below but you'll catch up and its a nice even starting number. Come to think about it...isn't our Necro 9th or 10th?

Necro may be level 9, however thats what he gets for playing with Demons. Plus I think of it as he is replacing Shawn. Although, I will miss Shawn, his Druid was fun when he was there. Just the memories of us dragging along his dead body, will bring a smile to my face.

Let's hope we don't get anymore "Weekend at Bernie's" antics anytime soon. Although, on the plus side, at least I've got a backup character now, heh. And Dragonsrule's backup character strategy is "My new one will make you cry, to keep me alive!"

Well, we revisited some old places, and righted some wrongs. And man, did Kaber do his best to kill us. First we go to a tavern and have to fight 10 level 8s and a level 12. That went fairly smoothly. But that last guy was a real Bugger to take down. And the nerve of him to summon 2 Dread Wraiths. The shifting to Shadow plane was cheap.

Note: Character names and spellings are mostly guesses for the NPC's, as I had difficulty finding them in the myriad of previous LGG1 posts. Aye, it was basically settling plot that your character hadn't been involved in anyway, so it wasn't unusual for him to not be present. The druid Rawl came back to the group and we were joined by a duskblade as well. I think we were on our way to the caverns we'd previously explored to fight a dragon and got distracted by old plot, basically. We wanted to check in on Taban's farm, although we knew that he had died horrifically when we'd left We found a wraith haunting the place, and based on some pipe tobacco and that it was not violent towards members of the party who had known Taban, presumed it to be him, haunting the house until he could rest. Most of the party went to the local inn to ask questions, but Shiv wasn't getting anywhere with the bartender and Locksley was trying to help out by making an illusionary Taban head appear, but the bartender saw through the illusion and just got mad. When an irritated (and invisible) Locksley tried to cut his pants down for a larf, he was detected and grappled and a barfight ensued, with the local guard being called and dispached relatively quickly, at least once the entire party arrived. Most of the bar patrons had previously fled (the [illusory] bloody severed head yelling "MURDERER!" tends to have that effect) but the party took the bartender and the surviving militia members prisoner in an attempt to limit the spread of information about us. In hindsight, since we don't really give a rat's butt about what anyone thinks or knows of us anymore, I guess that's rather pointless, but we also still wanted that information on Taban. Cigam used a divination (instead of, say, a large, bloody, and rather pointless bar fight, go figure) to find that it was another local landlord who was responsible for Taban's death. We'd previously been nearly killed by this guy and had suspicions that he was some sort of cultist, so I guess we weren't as surprised as we could have been when, after his interrupted villain monologue, he called some huge shadow undead thingie. He died pretty darned quickly afterwards, but it took us quite a while to kill the shadow, since it was about AC 32 and had SR 29, not to mention it's frequent shifts into the plane of shadow. Grr. The Spear of Lor zapped the bugger twice, though, and some non-SR spells and physical hits eventually brought it down, tho not until after it summoned 2 dread wraiths to help. Eh, there ya go, plot summary. Sorry for vagueness and name problems.

Thanks for the run down. I wish I could have been there.
AC 32, SR 29 sounds like a certain bearded-horned devils PAHWG is in the middle of fighting.
