I forgot to mention that there are other games like Rappelz by gPotato and they are cool also. Rappelz is like Lineage II.

Kinda late reply, but I was reading and shocked - no one mentioned one of the greatest CRPGs of all time!
PLANESCAPE:TORMENT
That game is simply amazing (if you can find it) - combat is practically unnecessary, the ending rocks, with tons of optional endings, uses D&D ruleset (2E), made by bioware, what else could you ask for?
Basically, I play Diablo and Diablo 2, BG1 and BG2, IWD, NWN, Fallout 1&2, D&D Online (just started), and Civilization series.
But Torment is the best of them all, with BG2 as a close second.

Aye, Torment's a great one. I was sure we mentioned it somewhere, maybe in another thread. Much more RP than most RPG, heh.

Yay! Well, I thought I'd update this old post of mine since my Gamestop employee brother just got me the original Disgaea for my birthday, whee! So between that and my other purchases, that means I'm not looking for as many games anymore. So here's the update if anyone wants to sell me some used ones, heh. This would replace the one from May 20th, 2006. I am interested in getting a few games I've had trouble acquiring at Gamestop and the like, and I hate resorting to e-bay. Some of them are just because I'm cheap (I don't want to pay more than about $25, usually), some because they're harder to find than Bush's last remaining brain cell. So, if anyone wants to sell me some used (working) games for the Playstation/PS2 only, they are: Tactics Ogre Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II Lego Star Wars II (The original trilogy) Disgaea 2 Well, it's worth a shot I know at least Antioch doesn't hang onto his games forever like I do. -

Does anyone know if Planescape will run on WINXP? And Fallout 1&2? The specs say no, but the same thing on BG 1 and TotSC. Anyone ever tried it? I loaned Tormnet to a buddy years back, and never got it back. I've been looking to pick it up again, but don't want to blow money on it if it won't run.
Thanx.

Well, for starters, I have it and I don't think the CD's are copy-protected, if you get my drift. We keep an old computer around in the basement to play the old games, but there are some other alternatives. For the really old stuff, there's DOSBOX, a DOS emulator for Windows, and there are unofficial patches and workarounds for many older Windows games. But, again, many don't actually work, so you might want to set your system up as dual-boot and install Windows 98 SP on in addition to your XP or whatever. It's not the most convenient, but you can play them all then.

Anyway, I just got Final Fantasy III for the Nintendo DS, so if anyone else has it let's swap friend codes so we can send messages wirelessly and unlock a secret dungeon and character class, heh. My "Friend Code" is 2 0 1 9 5 6 7 9 5 0 7 2
Hope to hear from somebody!

Hm, I keep forgetting to copy that game for you. Anyway, I checked out blizzard.com ( www.blizzard.com/ ) today and I liked the tagline below the new game they're announcing. It's "Hell, it's about time."

Just the other day, I finally managed to defeat Baal in Disgaea. That's regular Baal, mind you, not his Prinny incarnation. And I finally found a legendary Cosmic Sword, so I'm going to try to steal the ultimate sword off an item god there sometime. That and seeing the ending after you defeat an item god are most of what I have left to do there.
I just got FF XII, the collector's edition, at Gamestop since they're having a sale. Whee! I've only played up to the first save point so far, though, as I'm short on time and wanted to be able to hear everything, which I can't do well with little Gareth sleeping.

Well, Disgaea-wise, I did beat an Item God 2 and levelled the best sword up to level 100. This allowed me to scratch Prinny Baal. Fun. Given all the other games I had, I'm not playing Disgaea 1 again for a while, but I'm hoping for a PSP version soon so I can go after Prinny Baal there and all the extra goodies they added.
They're still speculating about a PSP redesign. If that was in August as well, that would be perfect... a brand new PSP and a semi-new Diseaga for it. Mmmm.
I was playing FF XII some more but got frustrated by its lack of save points. I had fought for an hour through loads of enemies and screens until getting just before my goal, where some big guy killed me, despite me trying to run away after a while. This happens a lot in FF XII. So, I started on my other new game, Disgaea 2. Hehe, I guess you see where that's going. I've beat the game now and have seen the Midboss ending in addition to the normal good ending. I like how the character classes are unlocked a lot more than in the original, for the most part, but the gimped Majins are a blow. Well, I've unlocked the first 3 areas of dark world (12 maps, 4 in each section) so far, they're fun and challenging. Only 4 map pieces so far, I'm waiting to work on them too much.

Well, lately I've been playing Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II for the PS2... an official D&D game.....
Hehe. It's not tabletop, but it certainly satisfies your "loot everything you can't hack and slash" needs, which is good, since there won't be a game for quite a bit.

Cool, I haven’t played BG:DA2 in a long time, that game rocked I should go dig it out and play it again. AS to FFXII, don't get me started on that game it gets so frustrating that i want to run it through my shredder, so I’m taking a brake from it.
The one game that I’m working on now is Odin's Sphere, its a kind of odd 2D action RPG. Like an amped up Zelda 2, the game rocks, especially when you get past the first section. You character in the first part is the daughter of Odin and a valkyrie, after you are done with her story you get to move on to the second act and you get to play as a ninja bunny man, which is at least cool from an originality stand point.

I bought Medieval II: Total war and found out that I don't have pixel shader on my video card and can't play the thing. I'm so bumbed, I was very much looking forward to it. I don't know if I should sell it or wait till I buy a better card.
I'm not rushing out to do that anytime soon. So bummed
