hello hello hello
the phillies had their meeting today with wagner with the new GM present. after the meeting, wagner has said that this was by far the best meet that he has had with the phillies to work out a new contract. and like what the plan the new Gm has in place for the team. lets hope the phillies resign Wagner.

Jim Thome today waved his no-trade clause in his contract and was traded to the Chicago White Sox for a center fielder. am glad about this move. now there is no worries abotu Ryan Howard now. 1st base is all his. like Thome alot and was a big fan of his as a Philly.....but you ahve to go with the younger player who isnt injury prone. good luck to thome in chicago

well for all u guys and gals that are keepin track of thw wagner soap opera...can now stop. he just signed with the NY Mets. i think its for 4 years with a option for a 5th. argh. darn it. i really liked him too. this at least frees up alot of money for the phillies to go out and get some pitchin. and for those that missed it. thome went to the white sox. that makes ryan howard our everyday 1st baseball. look at that middle line-up. burreul, abreu and howard. god that gives me goose bumps.

Well, the problem I have with Gordon is he is 38 years old. Yes he has experience and has done a fine job in the past, but I would have liked someone younger. I would have prefered to see them have signed Ramon Hernandez to be the catcher and pay Lieby the 7mil to be the backup. I do like Nunez for a platton at 3rd base, and Rowan to be in center.
As for Manny, HELL NO. Why trade one lazy player in the field for another lazy player and a locker room cancer to boot. Manny would become the Phillies T.O., no thank you.

that was my problem with gordon too. by the time his contract is done he is 41. hes only a temporary fix for that problem.
and i love abrau. i would hate to see him go. there would be too many problems with bringing manny in. plus why break up the middle lineup of burruel, howard a bobby. they have proven themselves

I just came to the conclusion is that Pat Gillick is just another Yes man to Dave Montgomery. They tease us how many times with a big trade talk, which of course never happens. How many more times can Abreu's name come up in trade talks and not happen.

think about what abreu most be thinkin. if i was goin through this and my name kept comin up....i would be thinkin that the team doesnt think much of me. i like him alot and want him there this year. but god lay off him if nothing is comin out of it. they will only get into his head.
