Well, I'm having troubles here this morning. But if you go back and look, you will see, you never introduced yourself, and kept demanding answers from us. You can see your first question was also done, with what would be construed as a Hostile gesture. So my character reacted in the way that a fighter would, asking you by what authority do you come in, demanding answers. If we were Evil, I would have just cut off your head. Lets just work together now for the good.

Agreed, it's done. Think we've resolved it.

For the record this "Accepted sir we all make mistakes, myself included, as I did on this occasion. I don't know the others I'm afraid, must have just put names to voices as I approached." Gibson likewise began shifting bodies. Challenger is a continuation of the oh crap who has and who hasn't introduced themselves how can I get myself out of this, problem. Could we just get round to introducing those wandering round nameless please. For my sanity if nothing else Challenger

Could we just get round to introducing those wandering round nameless please. For my sanity if nothing else Challenger Challenger if it helps I started to put my characters thoughts on other characters in my ledger. That helps me remember my characters thoughts on others and what I know of them. It helps me keep in character. Also if anyone takes offense to what I type in there sorry I'm thinking what my character think from what he has seen so far. On a different note I found a good site on my Clergy www.davidcwood.com/adnd/campaign/bloodstone/ilmater.phpPigdish this might help with you lore of my clergy. I havn't read the whole thing, but I will this weekend.

I am still learning the mechanics of 3.5 so please let me know if I do something wrong. I'm a quick study, but hell everyone makes mistakes.

You are fine Wiccy. Don't worry about staying in character, that's what all us are trying to do. No need to apologize.

In the future I will require a knowledge check to see if the character would know about a certain creature, I'm going to ask the stupid question. But where do we draw the line between creatures half way experienced adventurer in the Realms should be able to identify at the drop of a hat and the more exotic creatures. Challenger

I would assume at lvl 8 you know what a Kobold is. I would not consider an astro sphinx a "commonly identifiable" creature in FR. I would agree with the DM's on this. I'd use your judgement on what is common, uncommon, rare, and exotic. The DM's will let you know if they disagree.

This is a good starting point to regulating yourself. For me the level of the character is somewhat independent of his knowledge. The character's knowledge is more influenced by the background in conjunction with his level. Using the DC check will help with greatly effect the knowledge of the character.
Don't worry about this too much. I want to focus on having a fun adventure but if I see characters showing knowledge of everything then it'll come back to bite them in the ass (in game of course).

Sorry for all hostilities and confusion on my part. For the record, Ludrud is a dwarf, thus slow to truly befriend and a Druid, thus moderately secretive. Therefore, no on the introduction. I'll come up with an attempt at a cunning nickname when inspiration strikes, and introduce that as a way to refer to me, until then, no dice.
