Hey guys, don't forget about daylight savings time, the clocks go back an hour tonight- which means that those who forget to fix their clocks may actually be on time for a change *looks at Vera*

Whoo! An exciting time for us there, I don't think I've ever been in a battle with 50 enemies before. Of course, rather a lot of them didn't hang around for very long, particularly when their ropes were cut/burnt ;D And that metal golem was exciting- without us doing elemental damage (from the ninja's magic sword and my rare shot that penetrated magic resistance) the battle would have turned out far differently. Hope we don't meet many more of them, the spell resistance is quite nasty.
Kaber's campaign is next week, and the PAHWG is the weekend of November 26th, so it appears that the 13th will be ok for our next meeting, unless he decides to do two in a row (rather rare). I know Olrac said that the 20th is out for us. Well, just an update on relative game status.

and for a late recap.
as the mind flayer got touch to Godric(rincewind) unconsice body to planeshift to a safer location to have lunch, he realized he could not. so off to plan b escape but the party stop that. they found his lair nicly furnished, even with communication conner.
well they headed to town to retool and rest up then departed to sea to search for untold fortune ( a grand total of 200,000 gold) after a stormy #lightning# battle on the deck Worth over 50 enemy combatants (some crew men helped) and the Battle was won
the went under water ( with help of a device)found the sunken ship and a trail out o their HQ. once they go there, the split up (Robby his dad and nick went one way, and rincewind, dragonsrule and vera when the other way) one found the old captain alive (barely) and the other found a robot #kilroy# with two rapiers (doing ouchy damage) and defeated.
i do like how whynot( dragons rule) took the rapier of the robot for later use. given time and godric will be able to make it be usable oneday. but I'll tell ya what ya can look for and how to do it next time

Well, at lvl 9 Godric's planning on Create Magic Arms and Armor, so it'll be good practice for his future magical weapon-smithing. Hm, more physical damage to add to our group with a #ben# barbarian to come- I'm imagining we'll meet him somewhere in the caves below and he was a crew-member or something. Hm, who uses magic #wizard# in Olrac's campaign- there's Godric #magic# (probably counts double with his multiclassing, heh), and the very limited (magic-wise) ninja/warlock #ninja# . RPGman's physical #samuria# , Whynot #poke# is physical when he DOES any damage , the Ranger #bow# is physical with a little magic, ditto with the #stab# Paladin, and the #boxing# dwarven grappler's all physical. Geez, if that mind-flayer had eaten Godric that'd be darn near all the magic in the party down the drain, heh. Oh, on a side-note I had a heck of a lot of fun finding icons which could represent the party well- sorry Dragonsrule

I'm unsure at the moment if I will be able to play. ;( My son still is not home so may have to go and get daughter from sister in law before 3pm. My step-brother shows up from Montana unannounced, what a nice suprise though, and may have to stop in at my moms just to say Hi. If I can't play, I will drop off my sheet so he can be used. I think your gonna need him.

Well, pretty much everyone was absent, but we still got some stuff done- killed some sort of wolf-beast, a gelatinous cube, and numerous drow and wolves. I think Ben got a good introduction to the game, although the party took a lot more damage than it would have with more people present. We got to clear out some weapon and treasure houses, some good stuff (Ben lucked out, axe-wise), and most of the underground forces are deceased. That said, there's still a group of higher-level baddies we haven't tackled and some other stuff to do yet, so we're looking forward to having the rest of the party there to deal with it all! Looks like next week, actually, but Olrac'll handle the timing.

Figured I'd do an IC post here, let me know if I should do them elsewhere. Oh, and while I'm still OOC, Olrac, what the heck do you mean by "Thing damge sleeper"? The Weejas lover bit I get, tho Anniehoo, on with the IC part... Seeing all the warriors around him and the carnage of the recent battles, Godric thinks of his brother Cedric, who he has not seen for quite some time. As children, the two were so similar, yet their paths diverged later in life. When at the warmage compound, where Godric was drawn to worship the ruby light of Wee Jas, Cedric was attracted to the ways of the warrior, fighting with sword as well as spell. Godric smiles at the thought of his parents having two sons so schooled in war. They had been honored at hearing of their sons' potential, but puzzled that a scribe would have such sons. He frowns as he remembers that he was never able to convince his family to turn to Wee Jas, despite his best efforts to proselytize. The religious arguments with Cedric has been one of the reasons they had drifted apart. As he passes through the blood-soaked halls of the underwater base, Godric wonders if his brother has had the same sort of wondrous opportunities to travel and smite his enemies. He prays that his family will one day come to accept Wee Jas in their hearts and that his travels are making life safer for them and the country. He grins to himself. Well, safer for his parents, anyway- Cedric would be annoyed if things were TOO safe.
