Yes, we can certainly do the potluck again, if people would like.
I think I'll be making most of the food, tho, Morgause was running herself a bit ragged last time. We'll see.

So that's a yes to my baked pasta casserole? I'll make it with my regular pasta sauce, not the meat sauce, so you and the wifey can eat it also.

Are we going to eat at noon or around 1700 as dinner?

Well, it tends to be a bit of both, depending on how people feel. We usually have enough food, and of course there's an oven and microwave in the kitchen.

I was thinking of making baked potatoes. Would that be ok with people? We have cheese to top them with, but seem to be out of Bac-o's.

Mashed potatoes sounds good but I can't eat pig products so no Baco's for me regardless. I'm looking forward to being there tomorrow. My two nieces are here and it will be good to get out of the house and hack something to death.

Actually, if you read the package, Bac-Os (the name brand ones) are made with soy and are kosher to boot. So I'm pretty sure there's no pig in there One reason I rather like them. But we're out at the moment, so we've only got cheese here atm. If someone finds a jar of them to bring it would work well. Plus I think baked potatoes will work well with that pasta casserole.

I've learned that Kosher does not always mean 'pig' free, in the case of gelatin. That's why we buy special Halal jello and marshmellows. But it is usually a good indicator for have pig free products.
